[ Bells actually has part of a text typed out - just a short-handed ok - before he decides to walk to Kurt's room instead. His curiosity always gets the best of him, though he wants to make sure he's feeling a lot better considering how ill he'd been.
When he finally gets there, he slowly peeks in without bothering to knock. He keeps his voice light. ]
[Kurt opens the door the rest of the way, revealing that he's standing on the other side. Yep, standing, and he's got a bit of color back in his cheeks now. It's a huge improvement, and he looks excited to show Bells.
It's a little ruined when he takes a step forward and ends up stumbling, but hey, it's still better than before.]
[ Which has Bells immediately meeting him the rest of the way to catch and steady him. He is surprised though, happy to see him finally a lot more lively, but that feeling clashes with the slight frown he gives Kurt. ]
Your bed's over there, you know. [ Maybe just a little teasing. ]
[ There's real teasing now, Bells' thumb tracing along his cheekbone. A pause, and he eventually leans close to kiss him--the first they've shared in what seems like forever. ]
[The kiss is welcome, though Kurt feels self-conscious about it. He'd been puking for days, after all. He loops his arms around Bells' shoulders and holds on tight, careful not to put any weight on his bad leg. After a moment's discomfort he can relax a bit and kiss back happily.
When he pulls away there's a smile on his face and a flush on his cheeks.] Why is it we always make out in doorways?
[ His hands smooth down Kurt's back, wanting to ease the tension he feels, make it better somehow, but he relaxes. The kissing's easier, nicer, and Bells grins back at him, resting his forehead against Kurt's. ]
Maybe I can never wait to kiss you. [ A soft kiss to the corner of his mouth. ] Wanna do it somewhere else?
You're not that heavy. [ A tilt of his head, and he smirks at him, arm curling around his waist. ] But we're not gonna go too far anyway. Since you don't feel like being in your bed.
[ Bells draws him close and turns around, not so much carrying him as he is half-pulling, half-dragging him with each step he takes. He absently remembers to close the door before moving away, and when his back hits the wall, he kisses Kurt again. ]
Mm... [He enjoys the kiss, putting extra energy into it, trying to thank Bells for saving him in a way words can't express. Honestly, it's--amazing, how much his feelings have changed since what happened a few days ago. They're stronger, clearer. He thinks they might have a name.]
[ Even as he holds him, there's something almost sweet about the way he kisses back. It'd been such a trying couple of days, continuous waiting and a barrage of emotions Bells still can't deal with. The hold becomes a little looser, hands slipping into Kurt's hair and simply keeping him there as he presses his mouth to cheek and jaw and that spot just below his ear. ]
I was so... [ Alone. Empty. Worried. He closes his eyes. ] I was afraid I might've really lost you down there.
[ It hadn't started out that way, and he's mid-shaking his head in response before there's a sigh. Bells leans to rest his forehead against Kurt's shoulder. ]
I wanna come stay with you. Or you with me. It doesn't have to be forever or anything. [ He leans back to look at him. ] I just need to know you're safe when we're together. No more meeting up and getting lost in the ship.
[A little gasp, and he holds on to Bells more tightly. He's a bit overwhelmed by that request--or maybe his leg is just really, really hurting him. He tries not to put any weight on it, leaning almost full against Bells.
He's quiet for a while, then lets out a nervous laugh.]
It's almost like you're falling for me. [Okay wow he'd meant that as a joke but it's also sort of serious and djgskg what is happening right now and why is his heart beating so fast]
Maybe I am. [ It's unexpected but earnest all the same, one arm supporting him as he uses the other to reach for his hand. Bells glances at his fingers, resting them palm to palm a moment before curling his tight around Kurt's. ] Falling hurts. But this doesn't feel like that. It didn't until--
[ He thinks about all the blood, looking down toward the floor. ] I just think it makes sense, Kurt. Like you and me.
[Kurt blushes and smiles, looking genuinely pleased. He squeezes Bells' hand in turn, wondering at the irony that he seems so much more experienced in these matters than the centuries-old fallen angel.]
We don't make sense at all. [He teases.] Not one bit. But that's what I love about us. About you.
I think we do. [ He mumbles it quietly, drawing Kurt's hand up so he can kiss his wrist. It's the only thing he can actually say does right now, but there's a pause when the rest of what he says sinks in. Bells is honestly very confused. His chest feels tight though, like something's going to explode. ] Wait.
What're you saying? [ He's staring intensely at him. ]
You think you what? [ He doesn't know if he should tease him or be concerned, so he settles for a mix of both. Bells grips his chin, wanting to look at him. ] Tell me.
[He gawks HOW RUDE.] That-- That's borderline sadistic! You can be so rude sometimes, you know that? And downright impossible and frustrating and confusing and--

You don't have to text back if you don't want to. Just come and see me okay? And be careful.

Hey, uh. Everything okay in here?

[He pouts and holds on tight. He may feel better, but his leg is still a mess. One thing at a time, right?]
I'm tired of it.

Well. At least you're looking a lot better. How're you feeling though?

[Walking seems out of the question, though. But that's... He really doesn't want to think about that. It's time to focus on the positive.]
